Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. As oral and maxillofacial surgeons, Drs. Harris, Ismail and Hyneman manage a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth, and facial regions. Their expertise encompasses the full spectrum of oral and maxillofacial procedures, from dental implant placements and wisdom tooth extractions to corrective jaw surgery. This also includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort. Our office can also diagnose and treat facial pain, facial injuries, and fractures.

Surgical Staff

The surgical staff at Oral & Maxillofacial Surgical Associates are experienced, oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants, who provide the highest level of care and safety to our patients. In addition to their Basic Life Support certifications, our staff has also completed the Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification Examination (DAANCE), where they are trained to assist with Intravenous (IV) sedation in our state-of-the-art office setting. This certification covers the fundamental aspects of anesthesia, including basic sciences, patient evaluation and preparation, anesthetic drugs and techniques, anesthesia equipment and monitoring, and handling of office anesthesia emergencies.
